This message was given to Helen Donoghue in 2011. It remains relevant today – surely even more relevant.
How does God speak to us about His Design?
I made men and women different so as to enable them to more fully live out My masculine and feminine qualities. Had I made them ungendered like the angels, their characters would have been less developed, because they could not have explored the full range of what femininity and masculinity mean. That which is divided now for blessing will later be re-united for blessing. In the Resurrection these gender divisions will cease and My image will be perfected in unity. Meanwhile, you are restricted into your two different genders. You enjoy the benefits of being able to focus on expressing your one gender. Truly, being un-gendered is not easier…
Everything has been touched by The Fall. The blessed two-gender state has been twisted too. In your hands, the two genders have indulged in rivalry and oppression of The Other: the Battle of the Sexes. Feeling the pain of this, you have invented alternative ways of overcoming the problems, such as denying your femininity, or your masculinity, or trying to find an uncreated middle way. Since these strategies are not part of My plan, you have felt the added pains of living before Me with recognised sin. Of course I could not bless these alternative ideas. As at the Fall, your self-determination has caused even more trouble and pain for the world.
I came and lived publicly among you and you saw and heard about my living for three years, in the midst of your two-gender society, as a real Man. Leave aside for now my three-year mission of the redemption of mankind. If I had longer among you, it is probable I would have married and fathered children in accordance with My plan for the species. As your creator, I do not ask you to do things I would not as a man do Myself.
At the beginning ….
At the beginning I created Adam in My image and, solitary, he began to explore the world I had made for him. He was not satisfied with relating to the other creatures. So I separated out from him the feminine side of his nature, and brought her to him (the “him” that was left behind after the operation) to be his companion and helper. Adam remembers his original similarity to Me, the both/and undivided God, and has urges to be at one with his feminine other half. I therefore encourage him to reunite with his feminine opposite number in sympathetic understanding, in heterosexual marriage, in procreation and parenthood. These reuniting processes can begin to satisfy the desire of mankind for the pre-Fall condition. These processes reflect Me, and help Me in drawing the person back to Me.
In the Fall condition, sadly, you human beings soon find ways to go wrong. One risk in creating a divided thing is that it will split even more along its dividing line, calling it a “fault-line”, and believing it cannot be healed. This is what lies behind the Battle of the Sexes. Another risk is the divided thing self-determinedly inventing ways of being which are not part of My original plan. Anything outside My plan cannot be allowed to be performed without sanctions appearing. That would not be just of Me, Who is the perfect Parent.
Submitting gladly
You two-gendered species inevitably feel different as the one gender relates to the other. That is how I designed it. In the Fall you soon develop these differences in negative ideas, bad attitudes, and wrong behaviours. Before you can say the 16th Psalm, these have hardened into habits. Each step into a harder and harder opposite has come speedily on the heels of the earlier viewpoint, as each side tries to feel some control over the (designedly) divided situation. My plan is that each of you, each man, each woman, would submit gladly to our two-gender arrangement, drawing the blessings out of it and supporting one another in your differences, making one fairly good Whole, until the New, un-gendered, Life in the Resurrection, arrives.
Carrying out My two-gender plan for mankind is difficult for you children living in the Fall. It can feel like an overly heavy burden to carry on top of all the other things that come along. That is why I invite you to come to Me, all you men and women who feel heavily laden by my two-gender plan, and take My yoke upon you. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Look away to Me and I will guide you, in this, as in all else.
