False peace is always available. You can have false peace by acquiescing to manipulation or by agreeing to what is wrong and sinful or by keeping quiet when you should speak up. There are many ways to have false peace. You may believe that you have found peace but you actually have not found peace if the price of peace is doing or accepting or participating in sin or wrong.

There are many offers of peace. All you have to do is to accept the offers of false peace and all will be well. But, not all will be well with you and God. The Bible contains examples where false peace was offered.

Jeremiah 6:14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

Ezekiel 13:10 Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter.

Never forget that the Prince of Peace is also a warrior. He does not offer false peace. He makes peace by vanquishing sin and wrong. He makes peace by being the Truth. His words and His Word are Truth. As believers follow Him they find His peace and live in His wisdom.

It is the wisdom and peace of God that makes believers to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

God’s peace provides a strong, safe place from which to be discerning. The security of God’s peace allows for objectivity vis-à-vis the world. We do not accept the world’s definitions and we do not accept their educational premises and we do not resonate with their theology and we do not believe their false peace.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The world’s peace is dependent on a false sense of security in things and/or human accomplishment. The peace of Jesus Christ is not a false peace. It is the peace of heart and mind that brings calmness and a lack of fear in the midst of a troubled world. May that peace be yours today.
