So, the ‘Far-Left’ UK Parliament has just voted to grant the UK what is the world’s most ‘liberal’ (should that be ‘murderous’?) abortion law, 397 to 137 for/against, with the legal ability to kill a child minutes before it is born – effectively at birth. That might also be styled legalised infanticide. The same Parliament has just voted 314 to 291 for/against to introduce what is styled ‘assisted dying’, but might more correctly be called assisted euthanasia or even ‘killing old people’. The Parliament of death?
We remember when abortion was legalised in 1967 in the UK, various safeguards were promised and legislated, so as to get through Parliament the controversial reality of killing an un-born child. All those ‘safeguards’ have been simply ignored and subsequently legislated away, as this latest evil (and I choose my words advisedly) comprehensively demonstrates. Why people think that euthanasia ‘safeguards’ will not similarly be ignored is beyond me, as a commentator. Perhaps in reality people just don’t care.
Child sacrifice
Of course we have commented on all this before (see links at foot). Throughout history religions have wanted to kill children (‘sacrifice’ to their deities) with the key exception of the Judeo-Christian nexus, in which children have never been sacrificed. Islam effectively sacrifices children on the altar of jihad, as the use of human shields in Gaza presently rather underscores. Today’s social ‘Progressives’ sacrifice children on the altar of ‘convenience’, so as to encourage consequence-free sexual activity. Except that such activity is NEVER consequence-free. Morally UK doctors and nurses are involved in – arguably – the murder of unborn children. That is not consequence-free. After all, they must all answer one day to the God of Life Who is also eternal judge, as will all involved in the abortion industry whether as ‘users’, ‘providers’ or just supporters.
Meantime old people will be bumped-off by the NHS (another religion – see foot link below). Ironically perhaps the very people who demanded and enabled, and defended, and progressively extended ‘abortion’ from 1967 (the so-called ‘boomer’ generation) will be the first generation to taste industrial scale euthanasia. Perhaps they have got what they earned, yet there’s still that eternal judgement awaiting.
One word suicide note
‘Abortion’ for Britain in 1967 was a one word suicide note. Since 1967 some 10.25M babies have been killed in the mother’s womb in Britain. Since 1967 some 10M + non-British have arrived from overseas, so progressively displacing and replacing the indigenous population and its culture. We are told that by the mid 2060s indigenous Britons will be a minority in their own land (!). Perhaps in all this there is a practical Judgement being worked out. The Britons who are so careless of the unborn are themselves being squeezed out, and soon will be accelerated away from this world by the incoming death legislation just announced by the Mother of Parliaments. (or ‘mother of kind killing’?).
Pray?
We will be asked to pray against both sets of legislation by well meaning Christians, but I doubt such prayers will change anything. God will not intervene. The British have been given opportunity after opportunity to repent and change course. The generation that killed God (as they see it) actually killed themselves. We deserve the coming judgment. The British electorate voted for a prime minister who says “only some women have a p*nis”. In voting for that mindset the British electorate voted for oblivion – and now they are going to get it.

For those who seek Him, God is still willing to receive and to save.
I do wonder whether the entire western world is self-immolating (before Judgement) at a practical level. If so, this means that the triumph of Islam here in the West will be emphatic, and possibly achieved without military jihad. It also suggests that the next ‘western’ century will be – to all practical intents and purposes – an Islamic century, with the ever declining ‘West’ ever more arraigned against Israel. Simultaneously, Israel has, in undermining Iran, ‘kicked the can’ of global hatred and opposition a little further down the road, thus buying her some more time. But Israel’s last remaining western supporters will soon be strangers in their own nation (in the unintentional words of prime minister Starmer) and shortly to be euthanazed if they fail to die with sufficient natural enthusiasm. What a future they have created for themselves. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord …… Joshua 24:15. That’s a verse well worth contemplating in its broader context.
